Amalfi Italy

Amalfi is a town and municipality in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of Italy, situated on the Gulf of Salerno. It is nestled at the mouth of a deep ravine, encircled by dramatic cliffs and picturesque coastal scenery. Amalfi is the principal town of the coast on which it is situated, known as the Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana in Italian), and is currently a significant tourist destination along with other towns on the same coast, such as Positano, Ravello, and others. Amalfi is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Amalfi Coast is renowned for its production of Limoncello liqueur, and the region is a well-known cultivator of lemons.
