About the destination: Palawan is a province of the Philippines that's located in the Mimaropa region. Its capital is Puerto Princesa City, but it's governed independently from the province. The islands of Palawan stretch from Mindoro in the northeast to Borneo in the southwest. It's situated between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. Palawan is considered to be the Philippines' last ecological frontier. The province boasts many splendid beaches and resorts; and it's where the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, two of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are located.
